Introduction to Palliative Care and Human Rights

The session starts with the presentation of an extract from a video about palliative care to introduce the topic. It is followed by group work using different case studies about the relation between palliative care and human rights. A discussion in plenary will pay attention to the most relevant international and regional human rights standards related to palliative care and how different actors can contribute to improving situations as mentioned in the case studies.
